Architectural GRC Cladding
One of the benefits of using GRC is the ability to create large cladding panels that are of reasonable weight.
BCM working with Jaguar Cars
For 5 years, BCM worked in conjunction with Jaguar Cars on the production of entrance statements for 35 showrooms all around the country.
Each unit comprised a portico canopy, four GRC external pilasters, four internal GRP panels and a GRP roof. The largest unit, the canopy was made by the stud frame methos and was 4500 diameter and 1350 high. The heights of each unit could be altered by varying the lengths of the pilasters.
The finish was a Portland stone finish to Jaguar's own specification.
Each unit was erected in three days on a prepared concrete base using a HIAB delivery vehicle. The main canopy weighed around 750 Kg.
