In October 2025, a new 500-seat auditorium at Oxford University will open as the Sohmen Concert Hall. In 2024, BCM GRC supplied the prestigious project with acoustic wall panels that line the auditorium, in addition to the bullnose soffit panels beneath the gantry.
Alexander Stadium in Birmingham underwent significant redevelopment in 2021, ahead of staging the Commonwealth Games in the summer of 2022.
BCM GRC supplied GRC to the internal and external areas of the new main stand, including the debossed lettered panels on the stand’s exterior which display the stadium’s name.
BCM GRC supplied the column encasements that clad the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre, a triangular-shaped, state-of-the-art research facility which sits at the heart of Glasgow’s City Centre.
The building was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in July 2015.
The encasements of the V-shaped, circular columns that surround the ground floor of this large office building in Manchester’s City Centre were supplied by BCM GRC in 2003… but have stood the test of time and still look great today.
New Square Shopping Centre in West Bromwich, England, opened in July 2013 as a 473,000 square feet shopping and leisure venue.
BCM GRC supplied column cladding and panels to surround the shop entrances.
The Sainsbury’s superstore in Penrith is topped by a GRC Feature Cornice, made by BCM, who also supplied the building’s band course & copings.
All GRC elements of the building were cast in a sandstone colour that matched the stone used to clad columns on the store’s main entrance.
In 2022, BCM supplied grey GRC cladding to ‘The Church Inn’ in Manchester, a project which converted the vacant site of a former pub into much-needed student accommodation.
The jewel in Church Inn’s architectural crown is the large, debossed lettering at the top of each of the building’s four elevations, which – nine stories high – creates a landmark visible across the MMU campus and from The University of Manchester.
The GRC we supplied to Church Inn was expertly installed by our partner installer, Henley Stone.
The MET Quarter shopping centre in Liverpool underwent refurbishment in 2018, with an ambitious target programme for completion in order for the shopping centre to reopen in time for the peak Christmas season.
BCM were immensely proud of the eye-catching GRC we delivered on time for this project, despite the tight deadlines.
A project that was “expertly designed, detailed, and executed”, in 2019, BCM GRC Ltd supplied the striking GRC fascias to the new Science and Maths Centre at Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey.
The project, conceived by Design-Engine Architects, went on to win a Civic Trust Award at the annual event in 2020.
The Rail Operating Centre in Romford was one of 12 new facilities that replaced the existing operating sites controlling the entire UK rail network, and BCM supplied the large grey panels which give the facade of the building its modern, yet unassuming look, fitting the design brief.
BCM also supplied Network Rail’s identical Rail Operating Centres in Manchester and Three Bridges, Crawley.
BCM GRC supplied ground-floor and main-entrance cladding to Winchester College’s new Sports Centre facility, including panels that featured the college’s name and crest, with signage supported through the GRC.
Delivered in support of Network Rail’s Cambridge re-signalling programme – C/01/09 GRC Cable Trough System was selected for its robust cable containment capabilities and ease of installation.
Installed adjacent to Fenham Low Moor Level Crossing – C/01/09 GRC Cable Trough System was chosen for its ability to withstand frequent train movements and environmental stressors typical of the coastal terrain.
Supplied for essential rail infrastructure works at Muir of Ord, Highland – C/01/07 GRC Cable Trough System was selected for its durability and ease of installation, providing secure cable management in challenging rural conditions.
Delivered to support infrastructure upgrades at Ardwick, Manchester – C/01/08 GRC Cable Trough System was chosen for its reliable cable protection and straightforward installation, ensuring efficient project delivery in a busy rail environment.
Delivered to support infrastructure upgrades in the Lewes area, where Network Rail has recently undertaken significant engineering works including full resignalling and track renewal across the Lewes–Seaford corridor. The GRC Ballast Boards (1830 x 300 x 50mm) were selected for their durability and suitability for large-scale rail projects.
Delivered to protect lineside equipment near Walsall Station – GRC Ballast Boards (915 x 300 x 50mm) and Posts were selected for their durability and ease of installation in an urban rail environment.
Supplied for rail infrastructure works in County Monaghan – GRC Ballast Boards (1830 x 300 x 50mm) were chosen for their strength and reliability, providing effective trackside support in a rural setting.
